Who we are and our role

Depending on how you use the platform, PerfectFIT typically acts as the responsible party (controller) for personal information needed to operate the service—for example account data, platform usage, and messages you send us. Participating fitness studios are separate businesses; when a studio collects or uses your information for its own purposes, their notices and terms apply to that processing.

What information we collect

We collect identity and account details (name, email, phone if you provide it, authentication data), bookings and related activity, payment data handled by our payment partners, technical and usage information, support messages, optional marketing preferences, and emergency or other information you choose to provide. We do not require sensitive health information for core marketplace features.

How we use information

We use personal information to provide and improve the platform, process bookings and payments, secure the service, comply with law, and send marketing where permitted. Where POPIA applies, we rely on appropriate bases such as contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests, and consent where required.

We do not sell personal information in the conventional sense of selling lists of individuals to unrelated third parties for their marketing.

Automated tools

If we use automated processing to recommend classes or content, we aim to be transparent in-product. You may contact us regarding decisions that significantly affect you where the law provides a right of explanation.

Sharing and international transfers

We share information with studios to fulfil bookings, with service providers under contract, and with authorities where required. If data is processed outside South Africa, we use safeguards appropriate under POPIA where required.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and legal requirements, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate. We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk; no method is perfectly secure—please use a strong password and protect your devices.

Your rights

Subject to law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable, and withdraw consent for consent-based processing. Contact us using the details below. You may also complain to the South African Information Regulator.

Cookies

We may use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, preferences, analytics, and, where you consent, marketing. You can control some choices in your browser or any cookie banner we show.

Children

The platform is intended for users who can lawfully enter into contracts (typically 18+ in South Africa). Contact us if you believe a child has provided information in error.
